COOKIE POLICY
Cookies & similar technologies
This policy explains how The Dalton Grant Academy uses cookies and similar technologies on daltongrantacademy.uk and in authenticated web sessions. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage used by the web app to keep you signed in.
2. Cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — authentication tokens (Supabase), security, and load balancing. These are required for the site and web app to function.
- Preferences — cookie consent choice, accessibility settings stored locally until you clear site data.
- Optional / third-party — only loaded after explicit consent (e.g. AI assistant on the contact page). We do not use non-essential analytics cookies unless disclosed separately.
3. Consent (UK PECR & GDPR)
On first visit we show a banner asking you to accept essential cookies before continuing on marketing pages and the web app. Non-essential cookies and embeds load only after you opt in. You may withdraw consent by clearing site data in your browser or declining optional features.
4. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close the browser or sign out. Consent preferences are stored for up to 12 months unless you clear them sooner. Authentication tokens follow Supabase session lifetime and refresh rules.
5. Mobile apps
Native iOS and Android apps do not use browser cookies; they use secure on-device storage and your account settings in our backend. In-app legal links open this website where applicable.
6. Your choices
Clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, sign out of The Dalton Grant Academy, or adjust in-app privacy and notification settings. Questions: use the contact form — we typically reply within 24–48 hours.
